Tom is a lonely man because his wife doesn't love him and his woman isn't enough for him. 'Tom's got some woman in New York.'( Jordan Baker, 15) Tom Buchanan is a man who is lonely because his wife, Daisy loves Gatsby, who she had a brief relationship with before he went to war. After he left, Daisy had to settle for Tom, a wealthy man. If he knew this, he would feel lonely because she never really loved him at all. He had to find another love, Myrtle who could make him feel happy, but even she couldn't do that.
